Wall coat racks can offer a space friendly, more attractive looking, and easily accessible solution to hangers and free standing racks with the same purpose. No longer will you have to wrestle with getting your coats in and out of closets or struggle with finding room for a bulky free standing rack. Colder weather mean warmer clothing including coats and heavier jackets. Along with this needed addition to one’s attire comes the undeniable need for a place to hang that item when the ski trip is over.

In the past, hangers and floor hanging racks have been the only way out but easily mounted racks with hooks are another choice. Coat racks might be the solution you need in order to break these dreadful habits.

It is just as easy to take off your coat and throw it on a hook as it to lay it down somewhere it doesn’t belong. Whether you are planning or adding a custom bar to your existing space or are designing a new space, like a game room, there are several essentials that will make your home bar the perfect spot for all of your friends and family to gather around.

One of the main features of your bar should be functionality, meaning, does it do what you want? Make sure you have added plenty of electrical outlets for a wine cooler, ice maker and any countertop blenders or small appliances that you might need. The hottest new trend are the countertop beer dispensers that hold a small keg but they also need to be plugged in.

Including a sink can also be a nice convenience if plumbing isn’t too much of an issue as it makes for easy clean up of your glass ware. Make sure you have comfortable bar stools because once your friends belly up to your new custom bar, they aren’t going to be leaving any time soon.

Something else to consider is that nothing says “authentic” like a personalized bar mirror and there are almost endless options when it comes to making it your own. Not only do bar mirrors add depth, light and dimension to the room, it also can make a statement. You can get your own custom etching permanently engraved into the mirror. Don’t forget to add an “Established in” year message to your bar mirror…this will be the kickoff of many great memories.

Plenty of storage is another consideration when planning and designing your custom bar. You need to be able to store enough wine glasses, beer mugs and highball glasses to keep a crowd happy. You should also factor in some drawers for storing napkins, stir sticks, wine charms and many of the other small bells and whistles that can cause clutter if left out in the open. Take some time to think about where the hard liquor and wine will be put. Are you going to keep it tucked away or in full view? Where will the condiments like limes and olives go?

All these factors go into designing the perfect custom bar. Put some time and thought into planning, stocking and decorating your bar and it will be a place where you and your friends will gather again and again. You don’t want to be spending too much time getting everything assembled to make a drink so make sure everything you need is at hand and ready to go. Most of all enjoy it. You most likely be getting a lot of use out of it so personalize it with your own personal touches and make the bar your own.

Most of us have been there…we see a beautifully designed and furnished room in a magazine or model home and say, “I want that look for my home!”. Unfortunately it is easier said than done, but there are some things you can do to create the design look you love in a way that suits the style of your home and your budget. Plus, you will be creating good design habits as you learn to decorate your home.

We’re going to focus primarily on the decision regarding your budget for the project. It is not the most exciting part of your home design project, but if you neglect to put the time into this decision up front, you may be disappointed and frustrated along the way. There are a number of other design decisions that you will make in addition to the budget, but this is where it all starts.

First, decide how much you can afford to spend, or want to spend, on this design project. Don’t do anything else, don’t go shopping, don’t make any decisions until you determine ‘The Number’. Then, write The Number down in a notebook, or something that you can easily carry with you when you’re shopping for your project. Be honest and realistic with your budget. You might not be able to purchase as much as you had hoped, but you need to be realistic. And that’s okay – you just need to make the decision now so you can plan accordingly. If you are looking for inexpensive home decorating, set the budget to match your checkbook!

After you have thoughtfully determined your budget for this project and written it down, the next decision you will make is what you want to accomplish. As with the first decision, there are other more fun and exciting things you could do next, like go shopping and buy things. But if you neglect the planning portion of your design project you could end up with the same frustration and incomplete space. So, no shopping just yet!

One of the keys to success with your home design project is to be able to take what you have seen in another home or magazine and incorporate that look into your own. You may already have some furnishings and/or accessories for this space that you are going to continue to utilize. So your next step is to carefully evaluate what you currently are using in this space and determine what you will add or take away to create the overall look you want.

You may decide that you don’t need to actually purchase big ticket items. Your design goals could be met with a relatively low budget. Sometimes moving furnishings around to a different place in your space, painting the walls, adding some accessories that are specific to the style you want to emulate, can all help to get the look you are striving to create.

By taking the time to determine how large or small your budget will be (and sticking with your decision!), and by carefully deciding what you will purchase for this project BEFORE you spend any time or money, you will be much more likely to be satisfied with the results of your home design project.

Bathroom Remodeling Tips – Remodeling Your Bathroom to Compliment Your Home

So, you’ve finally decided that the old bathroom has to go. Now it’s time to start on a bathroom remodel. While it’s very tempting to go out and start purchasing all the dream fixtures you’ve wanted for the bathroom, you’ll end up with a bad remodel and a broke bank account if you choose this option. With some great bathroom remodeling tips, you can make your bathroom remodeling experience go smoothly with great results that won’t break the bank. Here’s a look at top tips that will help you remodel your bathroom to compliment your home.

Bathroom Remodeling

Consider the Style of the Bathroom
When you are planning to remodel your bathroom, you need to consider the style of the bathroom. It’s important that you choose a style that not only goes with your taste, but that will look great with the rest of the home as well. If you have a ranch home, then a Victorian bathroom may not look the best. So, consider the rest of your home’s d?cor when you are choosing a style for the bathroom. Going with simple styles and clean lines for the bathroom is a great idea if you aren’t sure which styles are best going to fit your home.

Bathroom Remodel

Keep the Available Space in Mind
Another of the important bathroom remodeling tips to remember is to keep the available space in mind when you are remodeling your bathroom. If you have a huge bathroom, then you are very fortunate. However, some people have small bathrooms that are difficult to deal with. Before you start coming up with a remodeling plan, you need to be aware of the space limitations that you have in the bathroom. This way you know what is going to be possible in that bathroom. The last thing you want is a bathroom that is so cramped that you can barely turn around. So, make sure that you know how much space you are working with and keep this in mind as you plan your bathroom remodel.

Bath Accessory

Come Up with a Great Layout
You’ll also need to come up with a great layout for your bathroom. Sometimes the wrong remodel can end up making your bathroom even worse if you don’t lay out the bathroom the right way. If you go with the larger fixtures that are so popular today, your bathroom may end up more cramped than it was before. Before you even get started on the project, you need to consider the layout. Figure out the best layout to make use of the space that you have. Decide on whether you want a two sink vanity or a one sink one and figure out whether you want a tub and shower combo or just a stand up shower. Sometimes you may need to adjust your wants to fit in with the needs of the bathroom.

Go with Excellent Lighting
Excellent lighting in a bathroom is imperative. It’s difficult to take care of grooming in a bathroom that has very little light. So, you need to take the lighting into consideration. There should be plenty of light above the sink and in the shower area as well. Make sure that the lighting compliments the paint colors as well. You don’t want the light to make you look weird. Natural light for the bathroom should be your aim. Also, you need to have plenty of light without overdoing it. Look for great lighting options that are cost effective.

Choose Items that Make Maintenance Easy
When you are choosing items for your bathroom, one of the most important bathroom remodeling tips to remember is to make choices that are going to make maintenance easy in the future. Cleaning the bathroom probably isn’t your favorite thing. So, you want to go with fixtures and bathroom surfaces that will make it easy to clean. Choose items that resist mold, stains, and water marks. This way your bathroom is much easier for you to clean.

For those of us who enjoy deer decor, creating a deer theme decor based room can be a lot of fun. A room inspired by deer will likely have a country, comfortable feeling. It will make your friends feel at home and give off a feeling of warmth. Everyone wants their home to look great and have their friends and family feel that it’s a great place to visit so this comfortable fashion in decorating is a win – win situation for everyone involved.

Start with a plan for incorporating deer decor in your home. Assemble any deer art you already have or any personal deer gifts you’ve gotten over the years. Begin with a sketch of the floor plan of your room and make a note of where you’d like to add these accents. Try to arrange your decorative items evenly throughout the room to prevent one area that is too busy while leaving other areas bare.

Once you have the items you currently own mapped out, it’s time to think of other furnishings you might buy to make the theme come together. While you definitely want to make sure you have plenty of deer decor in the room, you also want to add other design essentialsthat will complement this look. For example, wood paneling for your walls would set off this theme. Any wooden furniture you might have, such as bookshelves, would likely look best if they are finished in rustic brown. Frame and mount deer art on your walls to add the outdoorsy feel.

After you’ve thought of deer-themed decorations you’d like to purchase for the room, do some research. There are many different places to buy the different elements you want to bring into the room. Visit local estate sales. You should look for bargains, but you also want to make sure you’re working with quality products. Since this is a room that you will want to enjoy for years to come, quality is important. Once you’ve tracked downyour additional treasures, add them to your sketch of the room.

When all of the items you want to use arrive, it’s time to begin the actual interior design aspect of the project. Begin with your original sketch and your initial plan. But don’t be afraid to make changes as your plan evolves from paper to reality. Your initial plan got you organized, but your creativity will finish the room with a flourish.

Once your deer decor room is completed, you’ll be amazed! The actual decorating process can seem intimidating at first, but once it’s done it will be well worth it. You’ll enjoy spending more time in your newly decorated room and will feel proud at having accomplished all the work that went into it. And to impress friends and family with your new-found decorating skills, why not throw a deer-themed party?

In today’s world, everything is about efficiency, getting the most out of your time, out of your money, out of space, which is where wall coat racks come into play. In the past people had traditional coat racks that took up a lot of space and fell over if you put the coats on lopsided and had no purpose other than holding coats. But today’s standard, wall mounted coat racks are extremely versatile. They come in many different styles but the most beautiful are the etched mirror coat racks.

They have definitely become more than just a place to hang your hat. To begin with, they work great in kids’ rooms. Start by getting a personalized coat rack with their names etched into the glass, then hang them in your children’s room. They can serve many uses while looking great. Children will be able to hang up their own coats and backpacks in a placeand be able to easily find themwhere they’ll be out of the way. If your child has learned how to dress themselves but not quite how to pick out their own outfits yet, you can hang up one outfit for each day of the week, let them choose from an outfit when they get up in the morning without your help. You can also place the racks higher on the wall and hang a stuffed animal net from it to keep their collection of stuffed animals looking tidy.

Another place that you can hang your etched mirror wall mounted coat rack are in your bathroom. They are a space saving, good looking way of having a place to hang everyone’s towels to dry. In addition, you can use them for hanging up robes or to hang your clothes to keep them off the floor while you are showering. Wall coat racks also make a closet organizer.

They are a great way to organize accessories. Another place to use them is schools and in the work place. You can have custom etched glass added to your coat racks with your company or school names etched onto them. Put them in the office so clients have a place to hang their coats. In the classroom, hang at eyelevel for the kids so they can all hang up their coats, scarves and backpacks while they are entering the classroom. You can also use them if you have a craft room where you have smocks that need to be hung up after use.

At the same time, wall coat racks work much better than traditional coat racks even if all you want to use them for is to actually hang up your hats and coats at home. They can be tucked away behind doors or in places where a traditional coat rack would never have fit and fit in with the decor of the home without drawing attention to themselves instead of standing out like a cluttered mess.
