Bathroom Remodeling Tips – Remodeling Your Bathroom to Compliment Your Home

So, you’ve finally decided that the old bathroom has to go. Now it’s time to start on a bathroom remodel. While it’s very tempting to go out and start purchasing all the dream fixtures you’ve wanted for the bathroom, you’ll end up with a bad remodel and a broke bank account if you choose this option. With some great bathroom remodeling tips, you can make your bathroom remodeling experience go smoothly with great results that won’t break the bank. Here’s a look at top tips that will help you remodel your bathroom to compliment your home.

Bathroom Remodeling

Consider the Style of the Bathroom
When you are planning to remodel your bathroom, you need to consider the style of the bathroom. It’s important that you choose a style that not only goes with your taste, but that will look great with the rest of the home as well. If you have a ranch home, then a Victorian bathroom may not look the best. So, consider the rest of your home’s d?cor when you are choosing a style for the bathroom. Going with simple styles and clean lines for the bathroom is a great idea if you aren’t sure which styles are best going to fit your home.

Keep the Available Space in Mind
Another of the important bathroom remodeling tips to remember is to keep the available space in mind when you are remodeling your bathroom. If you have a huge bathroom, then you are very fortunate. However, some people have small bathrooms that are difficult to deal with. Before you start coming up with a remodeling plan, you need to be aware of the space limitations that you have in the bathroom. This way you know what is going to be possible in that bathroom. The last thing you want is a bathroom that is so cramped that you can barely turn around. So, make sure that you know how much space you are working with and keep this in mind as you plan your bathroom remodel.

Come Up with a Great Layout
You’ll also need to come up with a great layout for your bathroom. Sometimes the wrong remodel can end up making your bathroom even worse if you don’t lay out the bathroom the right way. If you go with the larger fixtures that are so popular today, your bathroom may end up more cramped than it was before. Before you even get started on the project, you need to consider the layout. Figure out the best layout to make use of the space that you have. Decide on whether you want a two sink vanity or a one sink one and figure out whether you want a tub and shower combo or just a stand up shower. Sometimes you may need to adjust your wants to fit in with the needs of the bathroom.

Go with Excellent Lighting
Excellent lighting in a bathroom is imperative. It’s difficult to take care of grooming in a bathroom that has very little light. So, you need to take the lighting into consideration. There should be plenty of light above the sink and in the shower area as well. Make sure that the lighting compliments the paint colors as well. You don’t want the light to make you look weird. Natural light for the bathroom should be your aim. Also, you need to have plenty of light without overdoing it. Look for great lighting options that are cost effective.

Choose Items that Make Maintenance Easy
When you are choosing items for your bathroom, one of the most important bathroom remodeling tips to remember is to make choices that are going to make maintenance easy in the future. Cleaning the bathroom probably isn’t your favorite thing. So, you want to go with fixtures and bathroom surfaces that will make it easy to clean. Choose items that resist mold, stains, and water marks. This way your bathroom is much easier for you to clean.

For those of us who enjoy deer decor, creating a deer theme decor based room can be a lot of fun. A room inspired by deer will likely have a country, comfortable feeling. It will make your friends feel at home and give off a feeling of warmth. Everyone wants their home to look great and have their friends and family feel that it’s a great place to visit so this comfortable fashion in decorating is a win – win situation for everyone involved.

Start with a plan for incorporating deer decor in your home. Assemble any deer art you already have or any personal deer gifts you’ve gotten over the years. Begin with a sketch of the floor plan of your room and make a note of where you’d like to add these accents. Try to arrange your decorative items evenly throughout the room to prevent one area that is too busy while leaving other areas bare.

Once you have the items you currently own mapped out, it’s time to think of other furnishings you might buy to make the theme come together. While you definitely want to make sure you have plenty of deer decor in the room, you also want to add other design essentialsthat will complement this look. For example, wood paneling for your walls would set off this theme. Any wooden furniture you might have, such as bookshelves, would likely look best if they are finished in rustic brown. Frame and mount deer art on your walls to add the outdoorsy feel.

After you’ve thought of deer-themed decorations you’d like to purchase for the room, do some research. There are many different places to buy the different elements you want to bring into the room. Visit local estate sales. You should look for bargains, but you also want to make sure you’re working with quality products. Since this is a room that you will want to enjoy for years to come, quality is important. Once you’ve tracked downyour additional treasures, add them to your sketch of the room.

When all of the items you want to use arrive, it’s time to begin the actual interior design aspect of the project. Begin with your original sketch and your initial plan. But don’t be afraid to make changes as your plan evolves from paper to reality. Your initial plan got you organized, but your creativity will finish the room with a flourish.

Once your deer decor room is completed, you’ll be amazed! The actual decorating process can seem intimidating at first, but once it’s done it will be well worth it. You’ll enjoy spending more time in your newly decorated room and will feel proud at having accomplished all the work that went into it. And to impress friends and family with your new-found decorating skills, why not throw a deer-themed party?

In today’s world, everything is about efficiency, getting the most out of your time, out of your money, out of space, which is where wall coat racks come into play. In the past people had traditional coat racks that took up a lot of space and fell over if you put the coats on lopsided and had no purpose other than holding coats. But today’s standard, wall mounted coat racks are extremely versatile. They come in many different styles but the most beautiful are the etched mirror coat racks.

They have definitely become more than just a place to hang your hat. To begin with, they work great in kids’ rooms. Start by getting a personalized coat rack with their names etched into the glass, then hang them in your children’s room. They can serve many uses while looking great. Children will be able to hang up their own coats and backpacks in a placeand be able to easily find themwhere they’ll be out of the way. If your child has learned how to dress themselves but not quite how to pick out their own outfits yet, you can hang up one outfit for each day of the week, let them choose from an outfit when they get up in the morning without your help. You can also place the racks higher on the wall and hang a stuffed animal net from it to keep their collection of stuffed animals looking tidy.

Another place that you can hang your etched mirror wall mounted coat rack are in your bathroom. They are a space saving, good looking way of having a place to hang everyone’s towels to dry. In addition, you can use them for hanging up robes or to hang your clothes to keep them off the floor while you are showering. Wall coat racks also make a closet organizer.

They are a great way to organize accessories. Another place to use them is schools and in the work place. You can have custom etched glass added to your coat racks with your company or school names etched onto them. Put them in the office so clients have a place to hang their coats. In the classroom, hang at eyelevel for the kids so they can all hang up their coats, scarves and backpacks while they are entering the classroom. You can also use them if you have a craft room where you have smocks that need to be hung up after use.

At the same time, wall coat racks work much better than traditional coat racks even if all you want to use them for is to actually hang up your hats and coats at home. They can be tucked away behind doors or in places where a traditional coat rack would never have fit and fit in with the decor of the home without drawing attention to themselves instead of standing out like a cluttered mess.
